Interest on housing loans fell by 1.38% per year

The loans are weakened at the end of last year, according to preliminary data of BNB in December 2010. The decrease in mortgage loans last month of last year to levels of 8.34% in BGN and by 7.88 per cent in euros. The decrease on an annual basis is 1.38 per cent and 0.84 percent denominated in euros.

In the consumer loans also is experienced a decrease in interest rates reported by the Bank. In December 2010 compared with a year earlier, interest in them fell 1.11 percent to 12.43 percent. On a monthly basis, however, showed growth of interest in the same type of loans. For loans denominated increase of 0.03%. For loans in December 2010 compared to November decline is 0.48 per cent and borrowing in euros kept its level.

In the end of the last year, the annual percentage rate (APR), which also includes all interest charges and commissions of the banks was 13.82 per cent for consumer loans. Compared to December 2009 it fell by 0.90 but a hundred. APRC on loans denominated in the same month of 2009 decreased by 1.71 percent to 8.97 percent, and loans in euros - by 0.85 percent to 8.71 percent. In December 2010 the base rate (BIR) is 0.18%, BNB reported. Compared to December 2009 base rate decreases by 0.37%, and compared to November 2010 increased by 0.01%.
