Building permits for housing increased

For the period April-June 2010 were issued building permits for 3,933 homes with more than 508,000 square meters built up area, according to the statistics.

Interesting is the growth of construction permits from the first quarter of the year - the number of buildings it is 46%, and built up area - 41%. But it retains a negative growth compared to the second quarter of 2009 - 21.3% less are buildings, 12.7 percent fewer homes in them. If you go back to the data statistics, we see that now issued for the second quarter building permits for homes are approaching the most in absolute terms, the results of the first quarter of 2005 and first quarter of 2009

Most permits for residential buildings were issued again in the sea capital Varna - 176 number and Sofia with 166 permits and Bourgas - 135.

In the second quarter of 2010 has started construction of 785 buildings with 1,811 apartments in them and with 256,084 square meters built up area, 36 administrative buildings (offices) with 17,957 square meters area and 545 other buildings with 198,118 square meters area.

Compared to the previous quarter, the number started residential buildings has increased by 69.9 percent and the number of apartments in them started increased by 9.6%. Their built up area increased by 21.5%.

Administrative buildings are 16.1 percent more, however their respective area decreased by 42.6%. The number of other buildings increased by 64.2 percent and their total area - with 15.3 percent. The largest number of buildings were opened in the following areas: Sofia - 112 residential, 7 administrative and 34 other buildings, Plovdiv - 91 residential and 59 other buildings.

Whether the trend of increasing interest in building of new residential buildings are already being addressed, it will become clear after the data for the third quarter of the year. The pick of building permits issued for residential buildings is in the third quarter of 2007, when their number is 3000.
